This year’s NYC Gay Pride Parade will have more than 50 floats, 300 marching organizations and thousands of bystanders partying the day away! Everyone comes together for a celebration of equality, love, and whole lot of drag queens. When I’ve gone to the NYC Gay Pride Parade in the past, I’ve found it best to get there early to ensure a good spot up front! Expect great music, lots of dancing, and the best performers you’ve ever seen! And don’t worry too much about your outfit, because trust me honey, you’ll be out dressed with every costume you see! Those looking for where the party is nonstop, go straight to the Village! In 2013, it was held days after the United States Supreme Court ruled that married same-sex couples were entitled to federal. If you’re looking for a less crowded way to watch the parade, I recommend taking yourself to the northern areas of the march (anything above Madison Square Park) which tends to be less crowded. In 2011, it came just after New York State legalized same-sex marriage. The march on June 28 th, which follows a lavender painted line, starts at 36 th street at Fifth Avenue and makes its way down to the West Village – the birthplace of the modern gay rights movement.

But don’t get me wrong it’s still one hell of a party out on the streets! So get out there and enjoy it.
